Garbage Pick-Up: Every Friday morning. Billed the first week of the month and due by the 28th of each month to avoid a penalty of 18%.
Recycling Pick-Up: Every other Friday. Schedule available at City Office. Billed the first week of the month and due by the 28th of each month to avoid a penalty of 18%. The recycling container is the same as the garbage container except that it has a yellow lid.
Water/Sewer Service: Billed the first week of the month according to usage and due by the 28th of each month to avoid a penalty of 18%. Outside readers are not to be covered up.
Licensing of Dogs: Dogs must be licensed each year by Jan. 1st. Proof of rabies vaccination must be presented along with a $10.00 licensing fee. If your dog is not licensed by February 15th, the late fee will be $30.00. No dog shall be permitted to run at large within the limits of the City of Kimball. All dogs out of doors on an owner’s premises shall be kept in a kennel or on a leash. Complete ordinance on file in the City Clerk Treasurer’s office.
Open Burning: Except as otherwise stated in City Ordinance, open burning is prohibited within the City of Kimball. A campfire in a three (3) foot pit or ring which is a least 25 feet from all structures, a fire extinguisher (or a garden hose hooked up to a water supply) is available at all times while the fire is burning and an adult is present at the site at all times until the fire is completely extinguished. No burning permit is required if the campfire is not larger than three feet in diameter and the ground is cleared of combustible materials for five feet around the base of the fire.
Winter Parking: No person shall park a vehicle upon any street in the City between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any date that falls between 12:01 a.m., Nov. 1 and 11:59 p.m. April 30 of the following year.
Use of City Property: The City of Kimball charges a fee for the use of the Picnic Shelter in Willow Creek Park. Use of City Hall is free. Please contact the City Office for information on fees and to be placed on the rental calendar.
Building Permits: Before starting any construction (inside or outside) on your property, please contact the Zoning Admin. for permit and fee information. Building permits are required.
Snow removal from sidewalks: Property owners must remove snow from public sidewalks abutting their property within 24 hours after the precipitation has ceased to fall.
Nuisances: The City has a nuisance ordinance. Please contact City Staff for a copy. |
